TEDA Builds Largest Stem Cell Platform in China |

The TEDA management committee and the Institute of Basic Medical Science, under the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, signed a cooperation agreement regarding research on regeneration and established the Tianjin TEDA Union Regeneration Medicine Co., Ltd. for the stem cell regeneration study that will grow into the first comprehensive platform to integrate curative stem cell product research, development, production, marketing and treatment in China within three years. Based on R&D, and industrialized development oriented, Tianjin TEDA Union Regeneration Medicine Co., Ltd. will engage itself in building a comprehensive, scientific, technological and industrial platform for stem cell regeneration research. It aims to construct a technological platform in conformity with GMP standards for production of stem cell medicines in three years, and complete all pre-clinic approval procedures for the stem cell products that can cure heart disease, hepatic failure and diabetes, etc. This cooperation will start from development of stem cell medicines for clinical experiments and strive to achieve breakthroughs in the development of products capable of treating damage to, and diseases in, important tissues and organs such as blood diseases, cardiovascular diseases, liver diseases, diabetes and immune system diseases, by incorporating the technological achievements that have achieved certain research foundations, so as to realize standardized and scaled product R&D and application systems in a short time, boost the development of stem cell research in China and promote the transformation of high-tech biotechnological achievements.
