See Tim's daily blog while he was having the treatment.

NAME: Timothy Graf

COUNTRY: Canada

AGE: 45

DIAGNOSIS: Spinocerebellar Ataxia 2

REASON FOR COMING FOR TREATMENT:  Had a family history of Ataxia. Tim was just starting to feel the effects in the last 3 years.

START OF TREATMENT: April 4, 2006 Umbilical Cord Stem Cell and Nerve Growth Factor Injections with Rehabilitation Therapy

BEFORE THE TREATMENT:

Videos (4/10): Before 1, Walking Bars, Walking Line

Tim walked unevenly, especially down stairs. When he walked down stairs, he had to concentrate or hold the handrail in order to feel secure. He also felt his speech was slurred. His eyes would have trouble focusing on something for a long time.

AFTER THE TREATMENT:

Videos (5/10): After 1, After 2, Walking Bars, Throwing 1, Throwing 2, Touching Nose, Walking Line, Walking Sideways

Tim was able to walk downstairs effortlessly. He was able to walk more steadily. He could walk up curbs without having to pay attention. His energy levels increased. It was easier to focus his eyes on an object for a longer time. His speech improved.

Video (5/10): Tim and Sharon Talk about the Hospital and Doctors.

China Stem Cell News Notes: Tim came at the very early stages of his disease, so for some of the excercises there are not striking changes of improvments to the naked eye, such as when he is walking the bars. However, the walking the line videos, before and after, show the most in terms of improvement.
