DIAGNOSIS:  Stroke

REASON FOR COMING FOR TREATMENT:  Fourteen days before her treatment, she began to get tired and felt dizzy. She had many years of high blood pressure but when this happened, it went up to 240/120. The left side of her body became paralyzed. The progression was slow and each day it got worse to this point where she could not stand up by herself.

TREATMENT:  Umbilical cord stem cell and nerve growth factor injections with rehabilitation therapy

START OF TREATMENT:  June 2004

BEFORE THE TREATMENT:  The patient could not lift her left arm up more than ½ inch. She could not stand by herself. She often felt dizzy.

AFTER THE TREATMENT:  She was able to stand and walk by herself. She no longer felt dizzy. She could move her left arm up to her shoulder.
