Thought Provoking Quotes

“There are people who are saying it's too early to do this, but David and Paul and I are adventurers. For people like David and Christopher Reeve, all it takes for them to die is an infection.”

NAME: Chen Li Shu

COUNTRY: China

AGE: 19

DIAGNOSIS:  Multiple Sclerosis in 2001

START OF TREATMENT: January 17, 2006. (stayed in the hospital for 27 days)

FOLLOW UP VISITS: March, April, September, 2006.

BEFORE THE TREATMENT:

Chen Li Shu has suffered from MS (Multiple Sclerosis) since 2001, since the age of 13.  A few months before coming for treatment her condition got worse until she could almost do nothing by herself but lay in bed. Before the treatment, she could not stand up out of a chair by herself, and could only walk a short distance with her parents' assistance.  She had severe head shakings.  She also had trouble holding things in her hands, as her fingers were numb and lacked sensation, which also rendered her unable to write.  She had problems swallowing and eating, and her speech was very slow. There were periods in which she could not control her bladder or bowel movement.

She had severe double vision, which affected her balance and her sight. Her body was numb from the chest down and she had minimal sensation in her hands and legs.  Her muscle strength was very weak. She had constant off-times and on-times during which her condition got more and more severe.

AFTER THE TREATMENT:

The interview was taken 9 months after the beginning of the treatment.

The most significant improvement after the treatment was that Li Shu could walk by herself, at a normal pace for long distances (a few kilometers). The shaking in her head was reduced greatly, her speech improved and she could speak at an almost normal speed. She could now grasp and hold things, as sensation returned to her hands and fingers.  Her body was no longer numb and she regained most sensation throughout it.  Her swallowing problems improved and she could control her wastes.  Her body was much stronger.  She still had optic problems since her optic nerve had been seriously damaged during the years prior to treatment.

It has been almost a year since Li Shu first came for the treatment. During this time her condition has been stable; she has kept the good results and continues to improve. She says that every time that she comes to the hospital the doctors notice new improvements. Li Shu is coming for follow up visits every few months.

She is very happy with the results and says that people seeing her today cannot imagine she suffers from MS. She looks and feels almost like a normal person.
