NAME: James Savage  COUNTRY: U.S.A. (Houston) AGE: 43 DIAGNOSIS: C4-C5 Incomplete Quadriplegia REASON FOR COMING FOR TREATMENT: Jim was injured when diving in a river in 1982. He had pain in his lower back which had become more painful in the last few years, and his joints had deteriorated during this time. He wanted to gain better use and control of his upper body. TREATMENT: Umbilical cord stem cell and nerve growth factor injections with rehabilitation therapy START OF TREATMENT: December 9, 2006 BEFORE THE TREATMENT: See Videos: Dec 18th: Before1, Before2 Jim had partial use of his left arm only. He could not move his fingers. He could not move his right arm at all. He had some difficulty breathing. He had a pressure sensation all over his body. Above the injury he could feel normally but below the injury level he only had pressure sensation. He had no bowel or bladder control.
AFTER THE TREATMENT: Dec 31st: Middle Jan 11th: Moving Arm Feb 8th: After1, After2, After3, After4, After5, After6, After7 The muscles in his chest strengthened so he could breathe more easily. Touch sensation moved four or five inches down his chest and eight inches down his back. His left arm’s triceps got stronger and he started to be able to move his wrist. His right arm got strength in his bicep and trapezius muscle allowing him to move his arm. He felt the improvements over the two months of treatment were more than he had in the last twelve years. |
