Before the operation, Mr. Zhang had no strength. He had no strength no matter how he tried. If you asked him to move his two hands, he would try his best to move them but they would only shake. As for his legs, he could only raise the right one a little bit and his toes could not move at all. Also, his neck had no strength at all. Sometimes he could not swallow at all and would choke when drinking water. In the days before the injection, he had difficulty breathing. It was hard for him to breath. He had to do his best to breathe. On the third day after the injection, several fingers of his left hand could move. He could move his toes and his two hands. He could move all ten of his toes. As to the finger, his right hand had more strength. He could raise his right and the left legs on the fourth day after the injection. But his neck and ability to swallow had no improvement. By Monday this week, after he got the second injection, his left side had more strength. The next day when Dr. Yang checked on him, he shook hands with Dr. Yang, and they found that he had more strength. Two days later, his ability to swallow improved. Making progress in swallowing meant that he ate more and didn’t choke while drinking. By the morning today, he felt that he had strength in his back and neck. Though he could not move his head and neck, he had strength in his back and neck. Now, his hands, fingers, legs toes are all in good condition. This is thanks to the injections.
